I have an onsite interview with Amazon coming soon and I am serious about it. I have about 10 stories so far. Can you guys give me some advice on leadership principles? How important it is for SDE1 (compared to coding and OOD design)? Am I good if I don't raise any red flags? Do they expect me to be perfect at leadership principles? How deep do they dive into follow-up questions? Is it acceptable if I don't remember every detail? It would be great if you guys can give me some concrete examples of follow-up as well. I am not a native speaker so I am a bit worried about that. Some people said that they had a whole round (1 hour) of leadership principles. Is it gonna be 10-12 questions in 1 hour? Thanks guys
LP is like 50-60% important. I didn’t have the whole LP round but each round I got about 20mins (7+ questions). Bar raiser asked so many follow up and deep dive into LP.
No matter what the level is or company you are interviewing with, every person has to be ready for questions on leadership principles. If not at any other rounds, it'll help you in AA or bar raiser kind of rounds. It's better to be prepared for it rather than getting caught off-guard and having to manage it.
Fuc.. It's rare that you will be asked questions based on LP for sde1
