Do they do checks before the offer (ie contacting all employers including current for employment dates and titles) or do they do reference checks instead (so you can give people outside of your current role)?
In my experience, after the offer has been accepted. They will send you emails from third party companies to get your permission to start the process.
Thank you so by that time they expect me to hand in notice right?
I would wait until background check is clear before giving any notice to your current employer.
But would they be checking on my current place I presume as well?
That im not too sure (my background check is currently in progress with a 3rd party company called Accurate background). My BG check was initiated on Thursday of last week and the form didn't ask me anything in regards to current employer. Usually (from past experiences), these forms will have you list out all of your current and former employers as well as addresses and it would ask if you dont want them contacting the precious/current employers (there would be some type of checkbox). However that didn't happen with me so maybe Amazon only does criminal background checks ?
Leave fb for amazon, why
