Is that picture from an actual Amazon office? I thought amazon offices looked like jails with no windows and banana peels everywhere.

I feel sorry for anyone who has to work there. That is the most depressing office Ive seen, and Ive interviewed at defense contractors....

Papa Bezos used a door as his table in the early days. Frugality.

Google feeds their employees, that alone makes it better than Amazon.

What folks are missing here is that being an Amazonian is a way of life. If you already run your daily life on lean principles, you will fee at home. Else, fuck off already!

So true. After reading tons of bad Amazon culture posts and people hating on Amazon on Blind, I was a bit unsure.

Turns out I fit right in, and I love Amazon - probably because I grew up in a culture with lean principles and live like that, as you mentioned. I'm glad I picked Amzn over G or Uber.

I used to hate the lavish culture of the VC backed unicorn where I worked earlier. I also wasn't aligned with the most commonly held values among colleagues earlier: the naive righteousness, the need for consensus during collaboration, the fear of disagreement and conflict, risk aversion, engineering purism, the lack of skin-in-the-customer's-game, binary logic during arguments, pure principle based reasoning over results and customer driven ones, and tons more.

I like my team at Amazon, but can't speak for others.

Firstly, the source of the "publication"is a farce.

Secondly, Tesla being listed at #5 shows that this is written by a troll. 不

See the criteria. They hire the most so have the most engagement on linkedin and they have forver retention because of the back weighted vesting which keeps employees shackled.

"interest in the company, engagement with the companys employees, job demand and employee retention"

Is this a filtered list of places with horrible bosses or something, or did they just consider latest perks and pay? Looks like a list created from most active Blind communities!
