Angular tries to solve many problems. It’s got a very wide API surface— from form validation to view templating, etc. Unlike React, it also compiles your templates (AOT compilation) for production bundles, and sometimes that causes errors. React solves far fewer problems, but has less integration headaches with third-party libraries. In my opinion, frameworks tend to be less useful because they solve many problems less effectively than a basket of smaller, focused libraries. It’s kind of hard to solve all of the problems at once (while doing each sub-problem extremely well), but that’s what frameworks try to do. I also find that React has better developer tooling. When inspecting in the browser, React has an official Chrome extension (Angular does not). Also, since React’s JSX is just a sugared syntax, you get al of your JavaScript linting in your IDE. Angular template files don’t have that sort of tooling: no autocomplete, etc.
While I agree with you regarding frameworks vs view library etc, we’ve used both ember and angular for production apps at big org and both have merits imo. Everything is moving towards components/modularization anyways but my view is that the mature frameworks like ember and angular have solid community-curated implementations for the core mechanisms like routing, templating, configuration, data management etc. I wouldn’t choose either of these frameworks for anything less than a serious long-lived client app, but for those they are great.
Funny that nobody talks about web components anymore

svelte, ember octane, react, albertsons
I need to build something out with albertsons. It’s so hot right now.
Yeah those ridiculous arrow functions came from Albertsons.
