I interviewed one round at Apple (technical phone interview) which went well and then guess what? I received a response from the recruiter, not for onsite but another round of phone interview. Is it common to have 2 phone rounds? What shall I expect in the second round? Will there be an on-site interview if this goes well? Current TC 125k
They’re undecided
Have had 2 phone interviews at several places I think it’s pretty normal
My second phone interview, after a technical phone interview, was with the hiring manager. Maybe yours is too?
I did 2 phone interviews and 8 round onsite. I failed my first onsite. Interviewing with different team now. Another 2 phone interview and now for 8 more onsite rounds. Total 20 :(
Is it for Apple too?
This is for apple over the course of two months
2 phones interviews are a standard and its easy to pass. Onsite is where it gets intense. They ask medium to hard question every 30 min and expect you to solve it in that timeframe.
By the way beware of new grad interviewers like SDE1s. They are more focused on showing off how much they are better than you by giving you a ridiculously hard question. And they expect you to solve the problem in 30 minutes. Senior engineers are more reasonable.
30 mins for a round is short by 15 mins :( I hope they won't have too much of the initial banter eh
Yeah 30 min each round was intense. Now I’m doing it again. Hopefully I don’t get these new grad interviewers this time.
:( Good luck :)
What was the context of the second interview? This might be a late replay but I am in the same position. Have one scheduled for this Thursday. Any info will be helpful.
