DEI associate: google or Doordash?
Hi Microsoft folks, Any team in Microsoft hiring for Data Engineers? I am a Data Engineer at Amazon with 3 years of work experience.
What is your typical job responsibilities as a data engineer?
DE just changed at amzn: NO report building or extract writing. Presently lot of DEs working as BA or BIE. Now you must know 1 programming language. Be able to write ETLs in python and use emr, hadoop etc.
That seems pretty straight forward though. Are those requirements a problem for a lot of people?
Are you getting pushed out because of the role changes?
I am interested in finding out more about this as well
Most data engineer roles at Microsoft have programming experience required as well as far as I can tell
They are titled as software engineers and there are teams that have been looking for months for senior engineer in such roles
