I have 6 yrs of experience (post Masters) and this is a Physical Design role. Is 150K base, 90k RSU and 35K signon bonus ok for Cupertino?
the base is pretty good, the rsu could be raised
When the HR asked for my expectation I gave 160K for RSU but she came back with 90K. Not sure what to make of it?
Nothing to make of it. I think it will be tough to counter if you don’t have more leverage in other offers. best to frame it in terms of the total comp if you do decide to ask for more
Pretty good, I’d take it and get in, then work on getting IC4.
I will definitely accept. I have asked her to see if she can do something about the RSUs. The issue is I do not have any other offers since this is the first one I have got. Should I stall or is this reasonable for my level of experience?
It’s super reasonable. How does it compare to your intel TC?
What do you think about the team?
What location are you in? Additionally Apple doesn’t have a good WLB. You’ll work a lot more then intel. What grade level were you at intel?
I am in OR right now and the Apple position is in Cupertino. I am at G7 here
You gotta factor in the cost of living. I’m not sure how expense is Oregon, but cheapest home in good area is $1M unless you’re okay with long commutes. I personally took a similar offer and don’t believe it was a good decision.
I have to move to California for non work reasons anyways, it will be worse if I do within Intel money wise. Also, I want to have more experiences and not become institutionalized by Intel and know nothing else. I can always come back in a few years if I really feel I can’t manage elsewhere 😊
90K over 4 years?
Yes
Ok TC?
