Data Engineer TC - $200k I was recently contacted by a recruiter from Apple for a Sr Engineer position. He mentioned that its a new position under a manager who recently joined Apple. It will be based in Bay Area and manager is aiming to build her team around this Sr. Engineer role. I liked overall profile and decided to move forward with application. I was expecting interview process to have tech screens and a combination of behavioral/tech/business for onsite. However, When asked about interview process; I was told that there is no tech interview at any point in time. It will be just phone conversation with manager who would discuss my resume, background/experience etc. And onsite is just for peers from the product team to interact with me and will cover more of same. Is this normal that for a Sr Engineer role, no tech screenings or tech interviews involved? Or am I walking into an ambush?
It's a trap
No technical interview? That seems very odd
They must not know how much variation there is in skills amongst Amazon L5 DEs.
Which team?
Did you complete the process ? How was the interview ?
Is an Enginner someone who mixes GandT’s for these execs???
