Less of a pricing issue than better durability of old phones. Earlier iPhones used to shatter screen and shit its pants when it comes to performance all the time after 18-20months of use. iPhone 7 onwards their screen is very durable, performance isnβt significantly worse and after batterygate many are replacing battery and getting better performance without replacing their phone. So people have not bought newer phones as frequently as otherwise they would.
Half my family is still using their 3 year old iPhone 7s because there's very little reason to upgrade. They don't care about the camera improvements and don't want larger phones.
+1. longer battery life is all I care about in a phone now. Maybe giving me my damn headphone jack back too

Not at all. A lot of googlers prefer iPhone to pixel, as do I. Iβm not sayin Pixel is inexpensive but they are more reasonably priced than iPhone. I just think Apple needs to revisit their pricing structure.
