What would you usually do in this case? Company seems really interesting. Third party recruiter didn't tell me company but I could guess. Would they offer a similar pay range, or normally is salary lower if you go through a third party recruiter?
It's probably easier to go through the corporate recruiter so you're not playing the telephone game. Usually the salary is the same. The third party usually gets paid a percentage of the hiring salary.
Unless the recruitment company it's reputable it's best to stay away. Exec head hunters that give you all the info upfront are by far the most helpful in that category. Otherwise it's best to stay internal.
Ignore ALL recruiters. Find someone on the inside, get insider knowledge, get referred. Let the internal recruiter handle the process. I never respond to recruiters. Waste of time.
Any referral working for company works or any specifics?
Well, the better you connected there the better off you are.
Thank you all for the tips!
I removed all 3rd party recruiters from my linkedin (dropped about 100 of them). Lately I got an in-mail from one of them about a very nice position in a great company. I cracked and gave it a shot again after telling myself never again. Guess what, 10 minutes into the call I had already given all my details, preferences, things that don’t appear in my Resume and would be valuable info for any recruiter ou there. Nothing came out from the actual fake position used as a trap because the person had no relation whatsoever with the employer. I had to hang up. The position was listed on linkedin by the real company and they used it to get me on the phone. Will they sell my data to other companies? Of course... will I get spammed even more? Yep. It’s a total “legit” person on linkedin working for a “real” recruiting firm. Never trust anyone but the actual employer. Treat 3rd party recruiters like spams. Just drag & drop and move on.
