I fear patience for companies who have no plans out of red will be less.

pdfs and postscript are fine, Adobe. We don't need another format with a new reader.
Uber is planning more layoffs - the management is bad and they were hiring for no reason - there was overlap everywhere and every leader was just worried about org building - such a great reciepe for failure. Worked well as it was easy to fool vcs - they just care about growth , now that ipo is forcing them to care for profits - things have changed. Cuts have to be more deep to be really meaningful.
Lol how would you know there is more layoffs coming 🤔
Agreed, this won't stop the bleed. Executives should cut comps but won't, so they will have more layoffs instead of doing triage with many of their team.
You have to be a pretty unique position to be burning over a billion dollars a month...
Poorly run startups will follow suit with layoffs. Well established tech companies will be just fine.
Great Depression is going to pale compared to what is coming.
Hey Google why so serious 🥺
Would you mind explaining why? The market is much less leveraged than 2008, and I don't see why we would see recession except for the trade wars. Given the US election cycle in 2020, I expect someone sensible in the white house to take corrective actions on that front.
Get a position that's not currently automatable and not at a ride share company and you'll probably be fine for the next decade+
You make it sound like it's so easy
I am sure that companies that are not profitable now, they might start layoffs. If continues, profitable companies might start laying off too.
Profitable companies grow their lead by hiring acquisition etc in the time of recession
not everyone leaking billions every week
