Are mechanical engineers treated like second class citizens at FAANG?
FAANG being predominately a software company are hardware engineers treated as support roles to software? Iβm specifically asking for the team culture/dynamics in the product/hardware focused teams within the respective company. Thanks.

Their pay scale is definitely second class. If you are still young, try to make a shift to software. Youβll be much better off financially and in terms of career growth options.

This is true. When I joined software I didn't know I had joined society of elitist assholes. But it's cool because the money is so gooood. Once I make enough I'm switching to a research position in different subject and leave it all behind
