Masters grad. What do you think would be a good negotiate for a software engineer with a background in computer engineering?
Lower than in Bay Area, but cost of living is lower, and you’ll find better WLB. When I moved here five years ago, I had a Masters degree and 3 years engineering experience, and my TC was about $120k. Now five years later, it’s about $170k. I have a feeling my salary is on the high side for the area though, so your mileage may vary.
Amazon has on office there. I think google does too. If you can get in to one of those companies, TC should be the same as a tech hub.
Not much swe hiring in the Google office, I'm afraid.
Amazon has an office in Irvine, are u referring to that or do they have another office in San Diego ?
