I took over a bmw car lease from another tech employee who was moving to London. He did show me a test drive initially but moved to London during the process. When I received the car after his friend delivered on his behalf it had a dent/scratch. How do I make sure that the original leasee is held accountable for it? His wife seems like a very difficult person and always keeps fighting. Should I go to the small claims court. They seem to be ignoring me.
How big is the dent/scratch? If it within 2 inches it’s normal tear and wear
Why have you tagged Google, Facebook, and Uber?
Was wondering same.
It’s the life problems hotline
Just searched what consumer court means. Its an India term for small claim court.
Was the lease transfer handled by bmw or you just pay his remaining emi ? If former, call bmw. If latter then he is still responsible to pay emi so tel him you refuse to pay. Also does the lease include lease end protection ? If yes, then don’t worry about dent.
Ask the dealer to take a look. Minor enough damage may not be penalized.
How do you, tech employee, friend and wife come together? Are you in some weird love triangle ( square?) with the BMW in the middle.
You mean small claims court? You could. I hope you took a picture the day you got delivered and emailed it to yourself and have an undisputed time stamp otherwise it would be difficult to prove.
Yes I have that and I also emailed it to him/original and the person delivering It
