Background check
Intel sent background Check just after talking to the recruiter. Hiring manager hasn't contacted yet. It's been a week since recruiter spoke to me. Update: Apparently they are just collecting the information. They will not did a background check until I accept the offer. Any truth to this ? I think given the liability and the brand name I think in can trust.
Did any of your references get approached by them?
I didn't give any references so far.

This doesn't make sense. Why would they do background check even before interviewing you?
Is that legal?
I don't think they actually do a background check. The BG check company will just take the data and only do it when you accept the offer.
