What does she actually do at Uber? Based on how she portrays herself on Instagram it seems like she’s spending most of her time hanging out with celebrities in Davos and building her own celebrity. Not saying this is a bad thing given how positively she’s perceived VS Uber’s awful perception problems, but I could imagine it being frustrating if I was grinding it out in the marketing dept working on FB ads 70 hrs per week.

At higher levels what you can actually do matters much less than who you know who can get you stuff done. Who cares if you’re signing off on brand assets when you can get partnerships going between Uber and large corporations?
People get paid for the value that they bring. Should people get penalized if they can bring in more value in less time?
Check out the LeBron James and KD Uber ride video...I’m sure it was all via her connections we get these kind of things going on. I’m not a fan of pop culture or sports culture myself, but I do believe that’s one way to enhance our brand, by associating it with other highly regarded / popular brands.
