How's the work culture at Barclays,NJ? Risk and Compliance division.
Even Barclays in Manhattan has an OK atmosphere. On the public finance side, they usually leave between 4 and 5.
I’m apart of ibmo and can say some groups are better than others my group I’m working till 7,8,9,10 daily ot is nice but sometimes money isn’t everything
How about job security?
I think the Whippany office is pretty secure.
I’m in cards in Wimington. The move to Whippany has destroyed this company. It’s us versus them. We have lost all the expertise we had because of the shit management and no one wants to move to NJ. I would move with extreme caution.
Should be interesting to see how it turns out Wilmington culture != Whippany culture
Not sure what exactly the whippany office is working on. The app doesn’t even have push notifications. The website is using YUI that was added 10 years ago. They still do manual releases. They have a separate app for Credit card and banking (and likely will spin up a new app for their next “premiere” product). What are you actually doing up there?

For a B4 usually i’ve seen around 6% for outstanding rating too. It usually depends on the team and the manager/director. Since you joined in October, most probably you won’t be getting Bonus or hike this time, sorry.

I’m on cards side , so take with grain of salt ... Whippany is a super nice office , tons of stuff to do, startup-ish atmosphere , shuttles in and out of office tend to make it where I see most people showing up 8-8:30 office starts to die at 3, ghost town at 4. I wasn’t at a bank previously so can’t give apples to orange comparison but work culture is very lax imo. Also competitive to city pay while in jersey is nice
