If you want a lot Indians then jersey city is the place to be
Secacus
2br 3K is quite low
You won’t find a 2bd that’s in an easy commute under 3k. You’ll likely find a 1bd with possible “office”
Your office is lex and 53rd? Roosevelt island is a good spot if you want family/community/quiet lifestyle at great prices and it is very close to citadel. You could take the Roosevelt island gondola and walk everyday in probably 30min, or F train in about the same time door to door. You probably don't really want to be on jersey side if you commute to Lexington (east side), it will just complicate the commute. It is also more spaced out- I think Roosevelt island is much more social and family oriented with lots of parks but still has the convenience of the city. Long island City is worth a look too for your requirement s
What are great prices for Roosevelt island?
You can def find a 2br for ~3k.
Are you still looking? Brooklyn, East Village, you could also Flex a one bedroom into a two bedroom apartment in a luxury building in Hells Kitchen.
Long Island City Queens is awesome for families. Great public schools and one stop from Manhattan. Look in Hunter’s Point.
