Will be joining the Microsoft Azure team soon. Can you suggest me some good resources to learn C# programming fyi, I’m from fintech working on pretty out dated tech stack
Pluralsight has good C# content and then of course you can solve Leetcode questions in C#.
Its basically java, but slightly better. Just do a small project in your free time with the language; it’s not a hard one.
I personally enjoyed C# courses in Pluralsight by Kevin Dockx
I picked it up on my own last year with a heavy dose of Pluralsight and LinkedIn Learning. Having someone to talk to helps immensely as you’ll be stuck on the strong typing initially and then structure next. Just don’t give up and work damn hard at it.
C# in depth (book) CLR via C# (book)
+1 to CLR via C#
2 options... 1. Pluralsight... Excelent resourses 2. Work at Microsoft and utilize "engineering academy". Our whatever they call it this days as much as possible. .
Leetcode (and move somewhere else).
🤷🏻♂️What happened to Microsoft ?
I personally believe that if you are at MS, you can definitely go for FAANG with little more efforts. And those are far better than MS. MS is shit.
Nyc office?
Redmond
I honestly learned when I got here. I had zero clue about .Net, C#, etc. I worked in mostly C/C++ with sprinkling of java. Already got a couple of promotions since joining 2.5 years ago. Working in the code base ramped up learning very quickly.
Cool, very inspirational
And I get it, I was nervous too when starting, but didn't have prep time because of family and moving obligations so I had to let that go. Pluralsight does have some decent learnings, but if it comes down to it, and you don't have time, don't sweat it.
