Black Female Engineer

Hi Techies, I'm a black Female Engineer. Recently Graduated from Stanford with MS in Computer Science and just got offers from Google and Apple. This is my first real job beside small internship at start up. Obviously I'm a minority and I guess "rare" relative to the demographics we see in tech. These days.. Just want people opinion of me. What will be engineers reaction to me when I start the role? Should I be worried? Should I try to fit in? Will people treat me differently? My family spend their life savings on my education so I just want to do the best I can to repay them back. I just want to do well in life and code

You should not be worried, despite nonsense in the news tech is a very progressive/diverse industry. Kick ass and don't worry about other people's nonsense.

At least I have worked with highly collaborative teams with engineers from diverse countries and culture. Race had nothing to do when you're good at tech. If engineers working with logics everyday can't encourage real talents, no one else will.
