I do not have a technical background but would like to understand more about bitcoin and the underlying technology. From my very basic understanding it has the capabilities to store long lists that can track all kind of stuff? Does anyone have any good suggestions on books that may help me understand it completely? I feel like this technology could become something huge and I don't want to be like the people who talk about how they had the opportunity to invest in Apple or google, I want to be the one who did invest and has the reward.
There's a Blockchain for Dummies book to get you started. But seriously, Blockchain is a lot more than just Bitcoin. Bitcoin is just one type of implementation of Blockchain.
And bitcoin isn't even the best implementation. Really slow for transactions so can't replace stuff like Apple Pay etc. Plus, before segwit block size was too small
tons of resources online for this stuff. not to be rude but Google it
lol to be honest I just prefer to read study material printed out.
There's a book called Blockchain Applications, by Bagha, thats pretty new and good. It has a good overview of all this stuff.
Go to khan academy and check out his tutorial on block chain. It covers the basics pretty well and provides a foundation for you to further explore specific topics within blockchain
No books but the code is open source, go there on github and read that.
Is it easy enough to understand? My background is finance although I work in tech
