My wife was a software developer (frontend) in India for around 2 years. She then took a break for motherhood and its been about 4 years now. She is trying to get back into the industry, but the big gap is hurting her getting any interviews. We are thinking of joining boot camps to help land a job. Can the community from their past experience point of view please suggest best-reputed boot camps from a placement point of view and also not too expensive. Both on-campus and online options are fine.
She may want to do some research in companies that offer returnship programs. These programs are specifically for people like your wife, who have been software developers in the past and have taken a break. I’m not sure which companies (I’ll leave it to you to google it) but I do know it’s becoming more common. Bootcamp would likely teach things she already knows, and she would still have to prep for interviews on her own (some bootcamps help with interview prep, but honestly this can be a self-study thing) An alternative might be leetcoding real hard.
thanks a lot. i did not know there is an official term for it. Will search more but the early google results looks exciting.
Boot camps can be beneficial and they prepare you for coding interviews as well.
Bootcamp is not the answer for your wife.
in your opinion, what is the best way for here. the problem statement is getting her the interviews, after that i completely agree its about being fully prepared to crack it.
