What is the general consensus in the tech community about dating apps? Do you prefer Bumble or Tinder or do you use another app?
Tinder for sure. I usually can get one to two dates a week on Tinder. I'm lucky to get a reply on Bumble Although my Bumble feed has more attractive women on average. Their algorithm heavily favors how much you match and decays your profile pretty quick.
Most of my female friends claim Bumble guys are better quality
I wonder how many fake accounts I swiped through...
For women bumble is a lot better (quality over quantity). For men, however, tinder is probably your best bet. For the average male, expect 3-4 matches on Tinder a day, vs 3-4 matched on bumble a week.
Do you all think the problem lies in women not swiping enough or men swiping too much?
Cate to dish some details on the bumble matching algo?

Tinder: too many fake profiles. If they match also most of them don't reply. Bumble: too many too good photos. Sometimes very hard to believe if the person is real or not. If match then response rate is high. Both are based on looks so make sure you have very good pics
I really like the league.
Generally tinder. Bumble was filled with tons of edited and "professional" photos. Tinder felt more genuine for lack of a better term. Also found the love of my life on tinder so you know some bias.
Between the two, tinder. Get more matches there. Bumble if I get a match, which is hard there, girl doesn't even always send the first message
I once got a match on Bumble and the girl was like "uh, what am I supposed to say? I'm not used to going first."
Better than getting "oops. sorry i meant to swipe left"
