Business/Systems Analyst roles

Currently a lead BA with 9 YOE. Looking for referrals in the nyc/NJ area. Also, what's the TC range I should be aiming for? Highest level of education is masters in IS.

In IT - business analysts liaison between the business and operations personnel and developers on the technology side to easily translate the needs and requirements between both parties. Think... middleman. Talk the talk with the business...and (somewhat) walk the walk with technologists and developers. We do 'analyst' work too to aid in the above mentioned objectives and aid in decision making related to the area we are working in

What's a typical range at Morgan for your role?

Morgan Stanley xoxo13 Jul 26, 2019

Depends on the title or level. IT side BAs are paid higher than the business side. I am NOT that senior...with less YOE than original poster. 3 YOE - Associate - TC 130k base...bonus variable. Another note....normally you don't see BA roles past VP level. Officer levels are usually managerial and the BA work is left for the more junior folks.

Xoxo the seniority of BA depends on the company. In Capital One business analysts are also the people who decide the companies strategy and thus fill roles through most of the executive committee and CEO. At pru_ba the comp totally depends on level and talent. At 9 years of experience there are people at Capital One making anywhere from 150 to 600k TC

Capital One...here I come!!! Companies definitely plays a major part. Morgan has strategy driven from front office to back office hence BAs don't have a far reach in terms of strategy building. Capital One sounds great for my role type!

Yeah Capital One does things differently than most banks. I personally like it, although some people prefer the traditional bank setup

Prudential pru_BA OP Jul 27, 2019

Yeah TC at prudential is far below that range of Capital One. @EXwk33 any openings coming up at capital one for BA's or project managers?
