I am moving to Salt Lake City and have good collection of liquor. Can i carry my bottles to salt lake city?
You have to do it in 28 hours or less, and you’ll need a trans-am operating as a runner to keep the Smokey’s off your tail while you transport the booze in the truck.
10-4 good buddy
Do you have a medical card?
For what
Alcohol
Yes, you can bring alcohol from other states into Utah. Many people used to buy beer from Idaho and drive it across the border so they could have the good stuff.
Utah is really weird and strict with their alcohol laws. If you're moving and everything is packed in boxes with all of your belongings, no one will be the wiser. I've heard too many stories about people getting caught and ending up spending the weekend in lock up, everything confiscated, and large fines.
I am moving to SLC and have some good collection of rare single malt. It’s personal not for sale
You're probably fine under the circumstances.
One important piece or information you are missing is the point of origin. Where are you and your bottles moving from ?
LA California to SLC
within the United States mainland, I don't think there must be any issue. Are you aware of any laws that might interfere in moving alcohol ? I don't think it should be an issue as long as it's your own property, with taxes paid on it.
