Let’s say within the next five years, can they jump from 20 billion to 100 billion?
They would probably IPO before that? But I can see them becoming one of the top tech companies in terms of market cap over the next 5-10 years. The amount of money being transacted on the internet and on apps will only grow and they are poised to take advantage of that. Even things like on demand food delivery is benefiting them.
No, they’re gonna be acquired. 100% chance
Why do you think so?
Can Airbnb get 100b valuation before IPO? 🤑
Only if they postpone IPO and keep growing
Stripe’s mission seems to put them on a path to IPO. Can’t say it’s going to be easy or soon but it seems like they would have to give up on that mission to be acquired.
No
Stripe‘s Chinese equavalent Ant Financial, which is backed by Alibaba Group has a valuation of 150B.
That's like asking if Stripe can reach PayPal-like valuation in the next five years. Technically possible but low liklihood
And there's square as well
Square's market cap is just $27B
