Can someone ELI5 why the Salesforce acquisition of Tableau is such a big deal?

I don't know much about Salesforce, and don't quite understand the obvious benefits to us, besides our shares going up a bit.

Most places that have Salesforce also use tableau because Salesforce reporting is extremely limiting. Probably doing this so that it protects their market share/ creating new bundles to sell.

It's an acquisition of a market leading (to a certain degree) company for $15B, of course it's a big deal!
