I have 5+ years of experience in Andorid app + Android Internals exp. Feeling stuck in terms of growth. What other complimentary technologies can I learn up to boost my career? Experienced Andorid Devs, what is your current strategy/roadmap?
An android dev with 9+ yrs on platform. In recent interviewing it was obvious that at android ppl are very hard to find. Assuming you know your shit and keep up with the latest and greatest, I feel like we are in a really good situation for at least several more years
The only thing I’m spending any cycles on outside of Android is some cross platform stuff like kotlin multi platform or flutter just to hedge my bets
How do you always keep up with the latest and greatest? I am a mobile app developer and work on both iOS and Android. Having a hard time to keep up with everything. During interviews I am either asked questions on the latest stuff or in one of the interviews I was asked about a certain change in manifest file and during which version of Android release was it introduced. Find it difficult to remember what came out with each release for both the OS.
When you say ML models, could you please elaborate? Also for Mobile API, do you mean backend web api and services?
I have experience with Tensorflow Lite Model integration in Andorid Apps. What other ML models/frameworks on Android/Edge will be worth looking at, helpful to know about?
