My company is putting a strong emphasis on employees getting Cisco certifications. I’m curious about the relevancy of these at the more popular, Bay Area companies on Blind. $136k/7 YOE/NC
It’s a show of a good foundation and core competencies.
Stay away from the Cisco certs. Waste of time and money. Study/research more open source protocols like openflow to improve your profile.
You still need a base foundation
Cisco certs are not the only one to get that knowledge.
If your employer is paying, it couldn't hurt to get certified but it's worthless among the top-tier companies.
Any company that cares about Leetcode won't care about your certs. Aka not a thing for top tier companies
