Probably going to get the offer from citadel security core infra team. I am looking for career path development in next few years. Any idea about the team? Is it Technical? Culture? WLB?
Offer and yoe pls
Core infra is a good spot to be. Culture is good, WLB obviously a lot more intense than tech.
How was the interview? I'm going onsite for an infra role too

The False Narrative of Israel Committing "Genocide"
From what I could gather they do a lot of outsourcing of the actual core component implementation. Wlb won't be good. Beware of golden handcuffs via long vesting schedules. Not a large team to learn from, and engineers there are not viewed as being as important as quants. Engineers I spoke with seemed competent but not as competent as fang engineers. Depending on your experience you could get upwards of $550k/yr TC. Hiring approval process takes a looong time and is insultingly invasive, almost comparable to getting a security clearance.
Outsourcing means they hire some one else to build their core infra components? That doesn’t sound make sense. It is dangerous and may leak the secret.
Also hiring process approval means after I accepting the offer, they will go through a crazy background check and maybe get offer back?
