I'm currently waiting for 14 days for a relatively small ETH purchase with Coinbase. The money was out of my bank acct immediately. It seems like Coinbase is delaying EVERYTHING so they can sit on a huge pot of liquid cash to draw interest. Probably to underwrite their previous expensive fuckups? Idk. Something smells sinister. Anyone think similar?
Wire it baby. Dat wire.
It was first 5 days. Then 7. Then 9. Now 14? They’re essentially pushing people to use the instant buy via credit card.
I’ve talked to some folks at Coinbase in the past about this and they said they have the ~week before the crypto lands in your account to make sure the ACH fund transfers properly settled and to reduce the risk of fraud as sometimes that can take a few days. With that said for people who have dumped in thousands of dollars, over many months, and highly unlikely to be a fraudulent user, I wish they would tighten up these timelines.
14 days? No. This is something else. Again, not that much money. I've bought plenty of times before.
With all this crap I don't know why people don't deal OTC more.
Use credit card or GDAX..
i bought some today and it got credited immediately , however the ones that i bought last week still show as pending
+1 Even though mine was a small amount and I'd bought before.
What good alternatives are there?
What's wrong with buying with credit card?
Fees
Yes and it's so obvious. Someone will come and be like but such queues. Bullshit. This is a basic banking trick.
