Costa Rica, Belize, Mexico City or Cuba?

Thinking of taking a vacation and going to one of these places. Anyone been to any of these four? Thoughts/recommendations? Any safety concerns or general tips for visiting?

Stay in multiple places if you want to see the country. Driving 5 miles in Costa Rica could take hours. Only the few major highways are well paved and people drive 10 mph on 1 lane roads.

Mexico City is my favorite out of these. It’s an international city and has tons of awesome food, a good art scene, and interesting neighborhoods. Costa Rica is cool, but there are better/cheaper places to visit in Central America (e.g. El Salvador, Panama). Cuba is also really cool, with the caveat that it can be pretty difficult to find good places and get around due to the lack of internet access. Still, Havana is a cool experience. I don’t know much about Belize. Regarding safety, you should be fine in all of these places.

Mexico city. Gone there a few times, one of fav mega cities in the world. Museums, arts, music, ruins, great food all around, neighborhoods, and interesting day trips out. City comes alive during Christmas. Highly recommend.

Mexico city. Obviously you don’t get a beach, but everything else is better.

Belize is a total shithole. The others are fine. My opinion.

Transportation in Costa Rica is like internet over 2G. It works but minimally. Eventually you do get there with much patience and no schedule
