How to start the journey of becoming a data scientist?
I don’t want to go to college again If by class u mean going to college
Well if you have no experience or technical skills with data science you need learn some before someone will give you a job in the field. What programming languages do you know?
I have a very basic knowledge of R I know SQL BuT no other programming language experience
Do you know advanced statistics?
Linear algebra, probability, statistics. Python, data structures and algorithms, machine learning.
Curious as to what extent would a Data scientist need to learn algorithms and data structures? Would this skill be at par with those of SWEs?
You definitely need to know big o, trees, sorting, etc. You probably don't need to know the ins and outs of a particular language, how to parallelize massively, the more complex graph algorithms, or a whole lot about object oriented design.
