Cruise's head of perception fired?
How did he become the head of perception with only a BS degree + 3 years of experience? people in AV industry must be really overpaid and perception engineers are like the hottest shit ever.
Cruise is full of overleveled Junior people.

There was definitely title inflation in the early days. Has been improved lately, although still not perfect. That said, Elliot was a smart person a dedicated early employee. I don't think we need to gossip about why people left though. Our current head of ML is more than qualified.

Maybe he was fired for lying on his resume.
I understand it's a hard job but appointing someone with that kind of experience is not reasonable. You screw up people in SF die.
Why would people in Salesforce die if Cruise screws up?
