I refused to interview with netflix for this stupidity, they give you an assignment, and ask you to spent 8 hours on it 😑 wtf! I don’t give more than 1 hour for screening

After doing a ton of these, I want to say unless it's short (e.g. under an hour) just refuse. I spent 12 hours making mine really pretty for Uber, and when I went on-site it was clear no one read it, besides whichever person told me I "really crushed it". Another startup I think basically used me as free ML modelling for 2 hours since they never responded after. If you have no choice, I hate to say but these projects aren't quite like leetcode, you need to know how to ask the right questions and know good practices for coding and such. It takes time to learn. I might be willing to sell you a sample if you really want lol...

The robbing houses no two in a row question, some standard easy linear regression questions, and a lot of behavioral/product questions that I definitely failed lol.
