Checking email late tonight I saw an email from "leadership" to the effect of "we need to envision ourselves embracing DevOps as a culture." Why do I cringe whenever I hear shit like that? Why do I still bother getting mad anymore?
“We need to embrace doing more work, very efficiently, with minimal payroll costs — go team!”
Maybe they think you can stay up late?
If your team owns a service y’all should be responsible for it running in production in at least some sense no?
We already do take care of operational support. I'm talking about using the term as a buzzword.
