DevOps/SRE guidance

I am support engineer working in core networking. Planning to switch to DevOps or SRE role. My current role involves in-depth TCP/IP understanding and debugging and it has little or no scripting. Background: BS electronics, MS computer engineering(networking) Courses (currently enrolled in online courses): Python, linux, intro to DevOps also planning to learn public/private cloud topics from acloud.guru YoE: 2.5 years Can someone suggest skills/tools that I need to learn to transition to new role?
