Interesting to hear the stories π
Worked well for me when at a consulting firm - but overall decently risky. Mainly, try to think through what if they donβt counter?
Although I don't think they are gonna find out if your made up numbers are not ridiculously inaccurate, still wouldn't recommend doing so
Don't do it. Recruiters know a l ot of other recruiters in other companies. In one case I found out about an offer before they officially told me as the recruiter knew the person in the other company.
Sounds like a huge privacy breach. Did you lawyer up?
Risky maneuver there amigo.
Cumshot eggplant?
Not worth the risk
Never do that - I know of cases where folks were rejected because of tampering or lying their compensation even when they cleared all rounds
Recruiter ^^
I do that all the time. Everything is fair in $$$.
Dont do that.
Why not?
Lying is bad. Let's not do it and ruin it for everyone else. Once trust goes away, recruiters will start asking evidence of counter offers. Since these offers are all over phone, hard to give evidence.
