Diversity lottery and ESTA
Can applying to the diversity lottery (aka green card lottery) result in a rejection of an ESTA application? Or can it cause problems at the airport when entering the US? ESTA is for tourists so clearly a non immigrant visa, while the lottery shows possible intent for immigration. So is it safe to enter the diversity lottery and later visit USA as a tourist?

Did you actually win it? You can’t do adjustment of status if you entered using ESTA.

Nope. Applying to dv lottery is completely separate from the rest of the immigration crap. If your country qualifies you can apply without consequence
