As an engineer, it is very visible that Microsoft recruiters are fighting with each other to represent a candidate. I assume this is because they have some kind of commission per engineer they bring on? But I don’t know this. Is it true? Why is recruiting so fractured and uncooperative compared to Amazon?
I don’t have any clue what’s going on at Microsoft but most corporate recruiters have hiring quotas they are responsible for similar to sales reps and their revenue quota. If anything there might be a small annual bonus tied to their attainment
