People on blind say benefits at amazon suck. Wonder what they mean
People here conflate benefits and perks. Amazon has shit perks but their benefits are fairly standard
Health insurance is pretty decent, agree with others. Better than most small companies, on par with other big companies. Amazon doesn't do "perks" though, and doesn't have the fancy backdoor mega super Roth etc. retirement plan options and has meager 401k matching - this is pretty much by legal necessity due to the very different workforce makeup of Amazon compared to Google or Facebook leading to easily failed 401k tests and such.
Gotcha. So 401k is the only problem. Rest are in par, correct? Ofcourse no free food, no free anything
Yea 401k is 50% match up to 2% total (so 4% contribution for max match) iirc
And there a salary cap, so overall 401k match is limited. And your own contributions are limited by HCE rules.
Here is their benefits package. Health insurance looks fairly similar to what other big companies have. https://www.amazon.jobs/en/landing_pages/benefitsoverview-us
