Does Google only match offers from FAANG level companies
Or do they also match offers smaller but good companies? Like if I have a competing offer from Dropbox or Twitter or something.
Shouldn't they beat it? Also, if the offer is worse why would you want to work for them?
They tend to just match unless its from a top tier company from what I have heard. Only when you are literally about to walk away do they bump it up more.

They did not even come close to matching my Netflix offer
It all depends on your interview performance. If you destroy it they will match most offers but don't expect they to value paper money at face value.
I wonder if that's why they don't reveal interview feedback... I have no idea how I did. I went straight into HC so I probably did decently but not sure if I destroyed it.
