With current RSU vesting I am getting 20 RSU less than what I got in 2018. So, considering only the current RSU vesting I am expecting my projected compensation to be much lower than that of 2018 until Amazon stock price hits 2200 which is unlikely? So, does anyone else also think that there 2019 compensation will be lower than that of 2018. Will amazon provide more RSU for 2019 vesting to compensate that.
Me. I peaked at 660k two years ago. Down to $450k this year. Should be lower next.
Yes, by about 35 RSU, plus market forces. But I consider my 2018 comp a partial windfall. I saved over 40% of my pretax income towards my FU money.
How were you able to save so much compared to other years?
I’m just really cheap. I have kids (not cheap 😁) but I don’t go out much. No expensive hobbies. Wife prefers gardening to shopping. Drove my last car for 16 years, then paid cash for the new one. No credit card debt. Managed to get a house 15 years ago, so low payments. Some good luck too. One time early in my career I was unemployed for a year, ever since I’ve been paranoid about money so I don’t like to spend, just keep putting it away.
Yep, dropping by around 50%.
I am fully on signon bonus because of the vesting schedule in 2019
How much are signon / relocation?
