Does background check show my employment role title?
Say if I want to join Google as a Web Solutions Engineer, but then leave in 2 years and start interviewing elsewhere and claim that (in person and resume) I'm a SWE at Google, would the company be able to find out that I'm not through a background check?

Just use WSE on your resume. Engioat Google still carries weight. Just went to another company and the BG check from Google had my full job ladder and level. It was highlighted as "review" because it was not the same as the more specific job function I listed. No problem at all, but it will be flagged and reviewed.
