Don’t like Trump?

Want him to not get re-elected? Then you should definitely support banning of popular conservatives from liberal platforms like Facebook. Just ban all the conservatives. That will work. 😂

You act like Alex Jones isn't a reprehensible POS and a private company isn't allowed to deny service to non-protected classes.

Microsoft JT907! OP May 3, 2019

Hey personally I think Alex is an entertainer and not much more. But go ahead and ban him. I’m sure it’ll help elections 😂 I never even knew who he was till he was banned from everything.

Microsoft bigdtc May 3, 2019

You act like Alex Jones followers are ever going to vote for whoever wins the Democratic primary anyway.

Microsoft pJcW86 May 3, 2019

Private company, private property don't care, don't let the Constitution get in the way.

Intel pan7@-@ May 3, 2019

If you are going legalistic...Facebook gets different legal protections as a platform than a publisher. They just took a move to being a publisher, which means they are going to get sued the fuck outta here.

Intel pan7@-@ May 3, 2019

That’s my point - Facebook has always claimed to be like the phone company. AT&T is not allowed to discriminate against end users by not providing them service for the personal conversations they have, they aren’t held as libel for the personal conversations people have, etc. Facebook claimed to be within that domain, but now is clearly not. So far as I know, the cake bakery isn’t regulated as a communications company. They also didn’t have a 50% market share of all cake baking in the US.

Slippery slope to eliminating the first amendment without actually doing it. Make all platforms of speech private and claim that private companies can do whatever. Think of the long-term effects. Eventually, there will be extremist private entities with their own platforms. It's an arms race that people do not need, but they are led to believe that they do.

Lol, conservatives stumble onto anarchist viewpoints from the 1990s... but still don’t quite get it. It’s almost like private property is theft or something.

Oracle alwzangry May 3, 2019

Wtf are you talking about?

Oracle alwzangry May 3, 2019

People may not be able to see this clearly, but most of those who support Trump might even not like him as a person, but they're speaking up for the sake of the office, for the US not becoming a banana republic, and for not violating checks and balances based on likes and dislikes of people who get elected.

Trump wants to make the US a banana republic. He's actively trying to hide the truth and obstruct justice, and actively electing his family members to important positions for money.

Oracle alwzangry May 3, 2019

What's the Congress doing? Trying to impeach everyone they don't like?

Google t9aG6g May 3, 2019

Most conservatives hate AJ too. It's the other people is the gray area that gets people riled up.

Microsoft Vbsm66 May 3, 2019

There's nothing wrong with conservatives, just dumb conservatives 😂😂😂

Intel pan7@-@ May 3, 2019

The scariest part is how nebulous a definition of “dangerous” is.

OpenTable Meliodas May 3, 2019

The folks that got banned weren’t popular conservatives. They were far right gossip mongers. Mongers with their own platforms to promote their animus.

Oracle alwzangry May 4, 2019

If anybody can be shut up, everybody could be shut up. I don't care who you are and what you say; I'll defend your right to speak, to be able to protect mine. You can tell someone to shut up, but can't stitch their lips!

OpenTable Meliodas May 4, 2019

No one is infringing on their right to speak or telling them to shut up. They are simply being told to get off private property.

Apple etubrute May 3, 2019

Those guys who were banned are just very bad actors out to boost their speaking fees and book deals by being the most colossal hate mongering assholes imaginable. Twitter and Facebook have TOC for their free service. This isn’t a free speech issue whatsoever. Free speech rights protect you from the government. Not from being banned from a service or a business. Thought Blind has smart people who knew the difference and can apply simple logic.

Oracle alwzangry May 3, 2019

Hmm...so government proxies can bypass "protect you from the government"?

Apple etubrute May 3, 2019

In English please?

Intel babubhatt May 3, 2019

Conservatives should not be defending Alex Jones. Hopefully, you’re better than that.

Intel pan7@-@ May 3, 2019

You are dumb.

Intel babubhatt May 3, 2019

Lol great argument
