I really get pissed off when Indian dudes in US ping me asking about salary range in India because they want to move back but start complaining if I tell them that it might be in a bracket of 30-50 LPA. I mean what the fuck are you expecting? The same dudes were earning like 3-6 LPA before they moved to US for MS. And now they are expecting salaries in crores just because they have "foreign returned" tag. I mean, come on, if you have a strong reason to move back, just move back. Finances will take care of themselves. Don't make this only about salary. And if it is just about salary then don't think of moving back in first place. Simple! #mondaygyaan
Well said
Disappointed with a 30-50 LPA salary in India. Did I read that correct ? I think I need get back in the greedy-status-hungry-masters-circle. Off-topic but reminds me of that one guy from my batch who got a bmw after graduation. So everyone started aspiring for one as well.
Don’t see what is the need to be pissed off ....if US return folks drive up the salaries then it benefits you as well right? Why to get upset?
I am all up for the benefits. I am just annoyed by their cribbing when they themselves were earning 3-4 LPA a while ago. I don't think MS from some state university should boost up their cribbing index so much.
Yep ☝🏽
You missed the point- the more salary they get, the higher dowry they can demand😁
Forget dowry, it is difficult to get sutaible arranged marriage alliance in first place. Dowry comes later.
Also this 👆🏼. NRIs live in some distant dreamland thinking that girls here waiting for them with legs open.Bruh those days are gone.
I fail to understand what it is that is annoying you. What is wrong with going back to India and expecting a comparable salary (atleast quality of life wise) to what we make in US ? If you are doing the same work in India, id say 30-50 LPA is a bargain for the Employer! And you are not doing your fellow Indians (or yourself for that matter) any favors with posts like this. Nobody knows when your H1B renewal will go into RFE / reject - at which point one has no option but to move back to Indian.. and why should your employer short change you just because of a shitty immigration system that antagonizes you for being on an H1B visa - and at the same time refuses to fix the laws and policies that keep Indians in decade long green-card back logs.
You are mixing lot of things together. Employer will always look after their own benefit first. Also, ever heard of purchasing power parity? It is outright foolish to command exact same salary in India. Are you going to pay similar rent here? Are property rates comparable?
Blah blah blah..
Why don’t you keep your opinion to yourself and just give them the info they need. I hate people giving me unsolicited advice when I ask them salary ranges
Why dont you keep your comment to yourself?
People have accustomed to a certain lifestyle and probably have financial commitments so there’s nothing wrong in asking or planning to return based on an expected income. For example, if someone plans to buy a home just after moving back, they need to plan a bit and they’ll be fucked if they just moved back without considering salaries.
Nothing wrong in asking . It's the pretentious tone that's problematic.
Yep! F*** these pretencious pricks
