They also implemented a policy where an employee can be fired if she/he doesn’t demonstrate our company values: hungry, humble, people smart, create, innovate, disrupt, celebration, enthusiasm, optimism. This was done in reaction to employees using Blind. HR called us into a meeting yesterday to discuss this. Is there a workaround for the verification emails? The FAQs say to send them an email using your work address, but if the company is monitoring our email... well, HR has made it clear that Blind doesn’t align with the company values. And that employees can be fired over company values regardless of their performance.
Yea that is total bs, what kind of company tries to prevent you from using an app in your spare time
Didn’t Blind at least used to allow verification via LinkedIn, etc.? In those cases I’d assume you just verify your work email address with LinkedIn and authenticate Blind with LinkedIn as well after doing so.
Use LinkedIn verification - add your primary email in LinkedIn as your office email address - use blind LinkedIn verification
Add two fields at sign up: 1) Option checkbox - “I don’t want to receive emails” 2) Change email address after authentication
The LinkedIn verification didn't work. Even with my work email set as primary, I'm prompted to verify my email address.
It is a shit company. HR and upper mgmt ask employees to choose an anonymous feedback tool, then go off the rails when we do. Last night they announced a company approved anonymous feedback tool, which requires us to authenticate with our work email accounts. In other news, it's amazing how quickly you can line up interviews when properly motivated.
Time to join a new company. Who knows what other draconian bullshit that company plans on shafting you with next
