Just curious, have there been any successful enterprise software startups? May be my view is skewed a bit by my LinkedIn profile / skills, but it seems everyone is doing some obscure and boring enterprise/virtualization/container/security/neyworking/automatization/etc shit, but not a lot of known success stories. By successful I mean one that made money not only for founders and a couple of very early engineers, but everyone. In other words - any chances for some such startups to be the next WhatsUp?
Yes absolutely, look at the acquisitions big enterprises SW companies do, many of these would be considered small to large startups targeting Enterprise customers or at least B2B.
