Evaluate (& advise on) TC offer in Seattle area
Technical pre-sales role (ideal dynamic for me)
Private company offered $215k ($175k base salary + $40k OTE)
15k options over 4 years with ~$4 strike price, ~115m shares outstanding. Preferred share value ~$10
I had to push a bit on the cash side, but I suspect equity is too low even after initial negotiations. Company is more respectable than my current company, but not FANG or the most known unicorns (Uber, Airbnb, etc). They claim to have bands/levels and that I'm at the higher end of the band. Benefits are top tier.
Thoughts on present state and how/where I should push while being cognizant of my desire to not truly risk losing this opportunity?
