Hi, My wife is on a contract and i am trying to plan the benefits cycle for Expedia since I am joining a month from now. Can someone please tell me when is the benefits enrollment period for Expedia ? Is it Jan to Dec or April to March Need to plan it so that I can time it accordingly. TC: 200K
Why does it matter? Once you join you will have a 60 day “qualifying event” window to enroll.
New job is a qualifying event. You will have 30/60 days to enroll depending on the company.

Our enrollment period is in november for the next year (so yes, jan-dec) It ended nov 15 (last friday)
Job change of your partner is a life changing event which means you can add her to insurance then. You can always check with the HR when you join.

This is correct. Also I would suggest to keep your spouse enrolled in your insurance from your day 1 of Expedia employment. If you join Expedia in Jan, then your insurance will be effective from Feb anyways. You would end up paying 2 months of double premium but tbh insurance costs at Expedia are very nominal. I believe it won’t charge you more than $100/month to add your spouse to the insurance.

Yes, but her contract ends in March. So, I want to know if I want to add her as a dependent from the beginning or not. Coz I know I can't change it in March if the cycle is Jan to Dec
